E.ON Notes to “Declining Customer Numbers” in Latest Earnings Report
Trends show that some consumers are getting savvier, and are venturing out to discover a better deal for their energy
The results E.ON reported this week, show the positive effects of their debt-reduction programme and investments in sustainable growth. The report that UK sales are down on customer solutions, and that they are dealing with “declining customer numbers” adds to the overall trend showing that consumers are getting savvier, and are venturing out to discover a better deal for their energy. This growing departure of customers in the UK from their typical suppliers can’t be a surprise – after all, with all of these recent price rises, the average Big Six standard tariff costs hundreds more than some of the cheapest on the market.
Consumers are growing weary of hearing about price rise after price rise from the Big Six. On top of that it’s never been easier for consumers to switch & save – making the market that much more competitive for suppliers, but ensuring that consumers can win out in the end.
